Classroom Procedure
What should you do when you enter the classroom?
Unpack, put belongings away, and begin the morning task.
What voice level should you be on in the hallway?
Level 0
Where should your backpack go?
Your backpack should be placed neatly outside the classroom. (either on a hook or against the wall)
What should you do when the whistle/signal sounds?
Line up with your class in the given space.
What voice level should you use?
You should use level two (your inside voice, unless instructed otherwise by a teacher.
What should you do when the teacher says, “Class, class”?
Stop conversation and respond "yes, yes." Look/listen, and follow the teacher's direction.
What should you do if you disagree with someone?
Use calm words, listen to the other person, and get adult help if needed.
What should you do with your homework/classwork?
Turn it in in the respective bins or folders.
What should you do if someone is not playing fairly?
Tell an adult.
What should you do when you finish eating?
Clean your area and follow cafeteria directions.
What should you do before leaving your seat?
(For the bathroom, nurse, or to get water outside of the classroom)
Ask permission before leaving your seat.
What voice level should you be on during turn-and-learns?
Level Two (Inside Voice)
Name two tasks you should have completed prior to dismissal.
Materials put away, area clean, backpack retrieved, backpack ready, and sitting quietly for dismissal.
Why is it important to stay in the assigned area?
To stay safe and make sure you can be located quickly.
Where should your trash go?
All trash should be placed in the trash can.
What should you do after leaving your seat to go to the bathroom?
Be sure to sign the sign-in sheet.
What does “respect” look like?
Using kind words, listening, respecting personal space, and treating others appropriately.
When can you get your backpack from the hallway?
When your table or group is called, you may retrieve your backpack from the hall.
How can I be a good classmate at recess?
Be respectful of others.
Share equipment.
Follow Instructions.
Line-up in a timely manner.
What should you do if you accidentally drop food?
Tell an adult or follow the cafeteria's procedure for spills.
Do not leave the spill without informing an adult and cleaning up the spill.
What should you do if you don't understand directions?
First: Reread the directions or check the example.
Next: Ask a trusted classmate using a quiet voice.
Then: Raise your hand or use our class help signal.
While waiting: Keep working on what you can do.
How can you solve a problem with a classmate respectfully?
Use your words, listen, compromise, and ask an adult for help when necessary.
What is the name of the written task you may complete at the end of the day to reflect on your learning?

Stop playing, gather your belongings, and walk to your assigned line-up spot.

Clean your area, check that you have your belongings, and wait for dismissal instructions.
