Before starting your Do Now, you must check the board for this.
Homework and Materials Needed
These small containers hold lab and activity supplies for each table.
Caddies
When you want to speak or ask a question, you must do this first.
Raise your hand and wait to be called on
Unless told otherwise, digital assignments should be submitted here.
Google Classroom
When the loudspeaker comes on, you must do this immediately.
Be silent and listen
If you are tardy, this is the first thing you give me before quietly taking your seat.
A pass
This is where you find extra paper copies of assignments if you were absent.
Absent Bin
If a behavior continues after a warning and discussion with me, what will happen?
Family will be contacted and/or office notified
This is the correct way to name a digital assignment before submitting.
This type of drill means we continue class, but no one leaves the room.
Shelter in place
When the bell rings to end class, you can only leave once this happens.
Everyone is seated with a clean table and I dismiss you.
When completing labs or activities, this is the rule for putting materials away.
Return everything to its original spot in the caddy
During a lockdown drill, the lights are off and and you must do this.
Stay silent and huddle in corner.
If you are using other tabs or off task on your Ipad, this will happen after one warning.
You will get a paper copy to complete instead
Describe the procedure when leaving the classroom during lessons.
Hold up fingers for permission, look for my approval, grab a pass, and walk quietly directly to your destination
At the end of class, you have this many minutes to clean up before dismissal.

If you finish work early what may you do?
Anything listed on the poster: start homework, read a book, or creative activities, etc.
When working in groups, you might be assigned roles like recorder or presenter. This helps practice this important skill.
Teamwork or collaboration
Late work extensions are only given for these kinds of reasons.
Valid emergencies like sickness, family emergency, or unavoidable events
If I am out and there is a substitute teacher, this is how you are expected to behave.
Follow all rules, give the sub full attention, and complete the plans as directed
