Which students are required to have a READ Plan?
The READ Act applies to all students in kindergarten through third grade. A READ plan will be initiated for any student who is determined to have a Significant Reading Deficiency (SRD). Beyond third grade, existing READ Plans will be implemented, monitored, and updated until a student reaches grade-level proficiency.

The district has provided a sample calendar to help schools plan progress monitoring for students needing the most support.
Benchmark data should be reviewed during PLC meetings to inform instructional decisions, including both Tier 1 instruction and intervention.
What does a READ plan include?
