Many people love cats but can't have cats in their homes for various reasons.  They would like to help care for homeless cats and spend time petting and playing with them, but it just isn't possible.  Because this situation is so common, "Cat Cafes" are popping up in many cities.  Cat cafes provide homes to a group of friendly cats. Patrons support the cat cafe by purchasing drinks and snacks to enjoy while they spend time petting and playing with the cats.
