TEXT 1:
Since the beginning of time, humans have wanted to fly. Watching the majestic wings of gliding birds only increased this desire in humans. The first airplane in America was built by the Wright Brothers. Resembling a bird, airplanes have wings that make flying through the air possible.
TEXT 2:
One day, George de Mestral decided to take a walk. By the end of his walk, he noticed plants were attached to his pants. Although leaves could be easily brushed off, Mestral noticed that these plants had to be PULLED off. In curiosity, he decided to look closer. This plant was called a cocklebur. The small hooks at the end of this plant attaches to objects. Mestral was then inspired by this plant to create a fastener that also had small spiky hooks. And that is how Velcro was invented!
