Should I bring my chromebook and headphones to math class?
Yes. Always.
Put up 1 finger, when the teacher tells you to go, sign your name and the time on the dry erase board and erase it when you come back
What is the one classroom rule that we must follow at all times?
Respect all people and objects in and around the school
How can you participate if you don't want to answer a question or share your thoughts out loud?
Quietly raise your hand and make a fist
What happens if rules and procedures are not followed?
Dojo points are taken away
Can I do math work in pen?
No. Absolutely not. Not now and not ever.
How do we earn dojo points?
By following the rules and procedures, listening to directions, participating, doing homework, reaching your iReady goal for the week

During lessons

Quietly and in line order
What happens if I don't complete my assignment in class?
It becomes homework.
Do I need a notebook and folder for science and math class?
Yes. You should have a different science and math notebook and folder. You should not use the same folder for both subjects.
Do you take late work?
Yes...homework should be turned in on time to earn dojo points but missing work will effect your grade
Who cleans up the classroom at the end of the day?
Everyone
When can I sharpen my pencil?
At the start of class. If you need to sharpen your pencil during class, wait until no one is speaking so that you do not interrupt.
What should I do about any work that is missed if I am absent?
Ask a friend or ask the teacher
Can Mrs. Roth answer ELA and social studies questions?
Sometimes, but it's better to ask Mrs. Handras or Mrs. Maher ELA and social studies questions.
Are there any consequences if I am late to school?
Yes, the first time you are late, your parent will be notified. The second time is a 30 minute detention after school, the 3rd and 4th lates are a 30 minute detention before school, the 5th late is 30 minute after school detention for a week, 6th or more will be a 30 minute detention before and after school for a week for each time you are late
How do you show respect to others?
By listening to them, taking turns sharing, and using appropriate language and gestures.
Where should water bottles and lunch boxes be kept during the school day?
In the closet
When can we eat snack? Should we mention snack to the teachers before that time?
Around 9:45 and no, we should not mention snack before 9:45. Eat breakfast if you think you will be hungry before 9:45.

Who is responsible for filling out your lunch envelope and when is it due?
Lunch envelopes are due on Tuesdays and it is each student's responsibility to fill out their own lunch envelope (or their parents). Teachers do not know what kind of lunch or milk that you want so if you are absent, your parent should call the school to let Mrs. Ruesch know that you need a lunch envelope filled out and what you want.
