What's the purpose of a shared living agreement?
Any of the following: Get everybody on the same page by saying the unsaid, Define expectations beyond the label (i.e. clean), Set the groundwork for mutual accountability, Prepare to live well together
A passerby asks, "What is a shared living agreement?"
A structured conversation that covers all aspects of shared living, to help you and your roommate get on the same page about sharing a space.
Give an example of one way you could help a visitor generate more realism in their agreement.
Ask questions like, does that stay the same during finals or if someone gets sick? Ask questions about any major contradictions. Etc. Etc.
In one sentence, what is CRE/what do you do?
Similar to: CRE is an office in Student Affairs that provides services, support, and resources that empower the William & Mary community to navigate all kinds of conflict.

1. Co-Created norms, while things are good
2. Preparation for living well while things are challenging

Build out scenarios for ways they engage in conflict, think about what the do if the agreement isn't working, etc. etc.
Each interaction starts with:

Why are shared living agreements living documents?
Expectations change as people grow.
A resident asks: "What do I do if I change my mind about something?"
There are questions in the agreement that will guide you and your roommate to discuss ahead of time what to do if something changes. Changes are normal and to be expected, but you can prepare ahead of time how to handle that situation.

Could ask, have you talked to your roommate about that/what were their preferences? Ask about their schedules, etc. etc.
