Initial: SST data is gathered through a regular RTI process, where data is collected over time.
Immediate: Student requires an evaluation of skills due to a parent request or needs are so severe without accompanying adaptive needs warranting a change in placement.
Diagnostic placement: Needs are so severe student requires a placement in a special education classroom until the evaluation is completed.
