This is an important job to keep everyone safe on the beach or at the pool. You must listen to them to stay safe in the water.
lifeguard
This is a fun summer activity. Please be safe and make sure you do this when there is a lifeguard or adult supervising you.
swim
This sea creature is really neat. He has claws and walks sideways. Sometimes people eat them.
crabs
This is a great water sport. You use a board and need waves to make you move.
surf
This sea life creature is super neat. It looks like something you may see in the night sky.
starfish
This is a great summer spot. You need a pole and some bait. Catch a big one!
fishing
This is an adjective to describe the weather in the summer. It's a little less than hot and not cold.
warm
This is a vehicle used in the water. You can fish or water ski on using one of these.
boat
This type of water can be dangerous if you cannot swim. You will need to wear a life preserver in this type of water.
deep
This body of water is salty and has waves. Dolphins, sharks and whales live here.
ocean
You find these in the ocean and when they get big, the water can be quite rough. Surf's up!
waves
This is the opposite of deep. When the water is like this, please do not dive in.
shallow
This is a type of boat that can be used in a lake or on a river. You use paddles to make it move. Be careful, they tip over very easy.
Canoe
This can be used at the beach to collect shells and sand. It has a handle and comes in many different colors.
bucket
This type of boat moves by the force of the wind.
sailboat
Make sure you take some time do this during the summer vacation. Take a deep breath and enjoy your time off.
relax
This is something you do during the summer. You can do this at the beach or at the pool. Make sure you wear sunblock and wear a hat.
sunbathe
This is a machine that is used to make rooms cool in the summer.
Air conditioning
This is something you can use to keep your food or drinks cold. It would be great to bring to the beach or on a camping trip.
cooler
Please wear this when you are in the sun, especially when you are at the beach or at camp. It will protect you from being sunburn.
sunblock
Make sure you have a pair of these on a bright summer day to protect your eyes.
