What is a weekly projection?
Sort of like a lesson plan! It gives families an idea of what our week will look like, and you can use it as a conversation starter for talking to your child about the day. We will be sending them out on Friday afternoons via SeeSaw.

Can my child have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch?
Sorry, no! We are a nut-free school. Feel free to send in a sun butter and jelly sandwich instead, and label it so we know it isn't peanut butter :) Thank you!

What is an At-Home Learning Kit?
Canvas bags full of art and craft supplies for children to use at home (for NCRC activities only, please!) We will post SeeSaw activities that use these supplies, i.e. beads, pastel crayons, etc.
What is CDT?
The Child Development Team! Made up of our school counselor, Ms. Judith; our occupational therapist, Ms. Julie; and our speech-language pathologists, Ms. Lauren and Ms. Laura.

A model to help us use Whole Body Listening! Listening eyes, ears, mouth, hands, feet, body, brain, and heart.

Blue: sick, sad, tired, bored, moving slowly
Green: happy, calm, focused, ready to learn
Yellow: silly, wiggly, worried, frustrated, loss of some control
Red: mad, angry, hitting, yelling, out of control

1:00 (it will be 3:00 when the day is extended to add rest)
When we begin rest, will children wear masks?
No, children will not wear masks during rest.
What is a Kindness Jar or a Bucket Filler?
A Kindness Jar is a jar filled with random acts of kindness we see Sunshiners completing on slips of paper. You fill someone's bucket with actions or words that show you care about someone.

A book read at NCRC to build community and show that everyone is welcome here!
Can children bring a stuffed animal, Lovey, or blanket for rest?
Yes! We just ask that they are small and taken home in their backpack every day.
