Can I use my textbook as a resource while taking my online quizzes?
Yes, the professor encourages "open-book" quizzes-- open the online textbook in one tab, and the online quiz in another tab and "toggle" back and forth between the two tabs while taking the quizzes.
What is the best way to communication with my professor?
Dr. Rusthoi prefers email, however text also works. In-person, before or after class also works, however, Dr. Rusthoi will then ask you to email her about the discussion.
If I've gotten behind in class, what should I do?
Communicate with the Professor, start working on the current week's assignments, catch up on prior assignments as soon as I can.
In order to successfully pass this course, I can just do the assignments in D2L and skip the chapter quizzes on the Norton textbook site.

I waited too long, and now I can't find any live concerts to attend to use for my final essay. Is it my professor's responsibility to find me a concert?

How many hours should I expect to spend per week on homework in this course?
The state requires a 3 credit undergraduate course like Music Appreciation to assign 2 hours PER CREDIT (6 hours total) per student of classwork each week. Thus, outside of class time, each student should expect ~3.5 to 4 hours of homework each week.
