Describe how Pasteur and Redi's experiments helped to disprove spontaneous generation.
What is...
Louis Pateur's Experiments showed that bacteria do not appear spontaneously, they are present in the air. His experiment with the broth showed that the closed flask had no bacteria in it, while the one open and exposed to air (and bacteria) was full of it.
Francisco Redi helped to disprove spontaneous generation through his experiment with raw meat. The jar with meat in it that was closed had no flies or maggots on it, while the opened one did, this showed that flies had flew into the jar and laid eggs, the maggots did not appear from non living things.
