What is an article?

They create the separation of powers, by establishing the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branches.

What is/are Article I, Article II, and Article III (The first three articles)?

It's a fundamental principle to democracy; and the Constitution does this not only by establishing what specifically can be done but also what can't.

What is limited government?

It provides a limit or territory within which authority may be exercised. In a court system this would be the court's authority.

What is jurisdiction?

This is the freedom to religion, speech, press; or the right for the people to peaceably assemble, or to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

This is the power of the Supreme Court to declare laws and action of local, state, or national governments unconstitutional.  This is thought of as the Court's power.

The right against self incrimination, double jeopardy, being deprived of life, liberty or property without due process; the right that no one can be tried for a serious crime unless a grand jury as decided there is enough evidence to justify a trial.  This also defines eminent domain and the process.

It's the adding of the Bill of Rights protections into the states through court decisions.  This occurred with Miranda v. Arizona, where the court extended the 5th Amendment to mean that the police had to issue Miranda warnings before custodial interrogations.

It's the right against excessive fines, bail, and cruel & unusual punishment.

It's the right against unreasonable search and seizure.  To be lawful, a search must usually be based on probable cause (PC).

It's the final enumerated power, #18, which is found in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution and allows Congress to stretch its powers to meet situations that the Founders could not anticipate.
