What is a Regulator?
The red tool that takes up the whole top half of the HPT case: a Milwaukee M12 that squeezes with 5,400 pounds of force and, in one squeeze, makes a permanent joint.
What is the M12 Force Logic press tool?
The types of tools that are included in the PT-1 & PT-2 Systainers.
What are indoor & outdoor power tools?
These are included in the ESEN Systainer and are used for setting up the smart system.
What are electrical sensors?
They are who you contact for items that are broken or missing.
Who is the FSM and the warehouse team?
The HID-1 Systainer carries two of these Malco hand tools, an 18" and a 12", so a tech can put a clean bend in sheet metal without walking back to the brake.
What is a folding tool?
HPT carries two of these. The tan block with stepped cups tells you how deep the tube has to go into the fitting; the notched stainless plate tells you afterward whether the press actually took.
What are the depth gauge and the crimp gauge?
When at a jobsite, the PT-1 and PT-2 Systainers stay here at all times, while only the tools needed are removed/returned.

What is the PPE that should be worn while at a jobsite?
HOD-3 carries four of these (two of them with a sight glass) plus a rebuild kit, so a Schrader core can come out and go back in without dumping the charge.
What is the valve core removal tool (VCRT)?
HPF is the only case in the fleet with no tools in it at all — just copper, sorted into ten organizer bins inside a Systainer3 L 89. The letters stand for this.
What is HVAC Press Fittings?
The small M18 saw in the PT-2 Systainer, which is a one-handed reciprocating saw whose name splits between a sawzall and a hacksaw.
What is the M18 Hackzall?
Housed in the HLSC Systainer, it includes the trigger-operated hilmor gun and the fittings that go with it, used to blow solvent and pressure through an existing lineset so old oil and debris don't end up in the new system.
What is the lineset cleaner kit?
This type of Systainer is filled with consumable items that are restocked at the end of each day by the warehouse team.
What is a Swap Kit?
This bottle rides in HOD-1's small organizer: a blue thread-and-gasket sealant that won't contaminate the system.
What is Nylog Blue?
It's the least tool-like item in the HPT Systainer and its job is to scuff the tube so the fitting's seal lands on clean, bright copper.
What is the (ultra fine) hand pad?
Included in the PT-1 Systainer, it's an M18 whose chuck lets the bit slide back and forth while it spins, so it can pound its way into concrete and block.
What is the M18 SDS hammer drill?
There are five of them in the HLSC Systainer, green anodized, each stamped with a different tube size because you can't flush a lineset if the gun can't seal to the pipe you're flushing.
What are the lineset adapters?
In the field, there is one for each installer (indoor-specific and outdoor-specific) and they stay on the truck before and after each job. In training, each student has only one that is used for both indoor and outdoor tasks.
What is a tool bag?
This roller tool puts a slight arch across a flat duct panel, which is the reason a finished plenum stays rigid instead of drumming every time the blower kicks on.
What is the cross break tool?
The HPF Systainer stocks four each of three fittings: a 3/4" coupling, a 3/8" coupling, and this third one — the fitting that turns a lineset a hard corner.
What is the 3/8" 90-degree elbow?
At 3-1/2", it's the biggest cutter in the PT-2 Systainer and it makes a clean round pass-through in one pull.
What is the hole saw?
It has the highest quantity included in the HCOMM Systainer, it isn't a tool, and it's used for blocking off a register or boot while you test.
What is the duct plug?
These items and tools don't fit into a Systainer or tools bag, so they are stored on the truck instead.
