Trust in the Lord
Before facing an army far larger than his own, King Asa chose to do this first instead of relying only on soldiers.
He prayed and trusted the Lord for help.
Scripture: 2 Chronicles 14:11
This prophet encouraged Asa after a great victory and reminded him that continuing to seek God mattered more than celebrating one success.

Uzziah thought being king meant he could also perform the priest's duties. What lesson does this teach about pride?

Praying before a test, obeying commandments when friends don't, paying tithing, serving someone, sharing your testimony, etc.
Asa trusted God against a million-man army, but years later he trusted political alliances instead. What does that teach us about faith?
Trusting God yesterday doesn't mean we automatically trust Him today. Faith has to be chosen continually.

Asa didn't like the prophet's message, so he put him in prison. Why is it sometimes easier to reject correction than to change?
Pride makes us defensive. Sometimes we don't want to hear truth when it requires us to repent.
The people spent three days gathering blessings after the battle. Why do you think God blessed them with more than just survival?
He LOVES YOU! God often gives blessings beyond what we ask when we trust Him.
Leprosy wasn't really Uzziah's biggest problem. What was?
Pride, which broke his relationship with the Lord.
Both Asa and Uzziah started strong but finished poorly. What habit can help us keep trusting God even after we've had success?
Continual prayer, scripture study, humility, repentance, and remembering that every blessing comes from God.

When Asa became sick, the scriptures don't criticize him for seeing doctors. What was the real mistake?
He trusted only the physicians and did not seek the Lord.
