What is morality?

What is "To be Human"?
The condition that we are influenced by sin in life. It is the consequence of being human.
What is original sin?
fair, respect, and love of all of God's creation.
What is ecological justice?
● An offense against reason, truth and right conscience
● Failure in genuine love for God and neighbour
● Wounds the nature of humans
● Injures human solidarity
What is a sin?
Direct sinful action against another person and it weakens the relationship between one's self, others, and God.
What is a personal sin?
Paying the consequences for breaking a law. A justice based on punishment/consequences for your actions.
What is retributive justice?
Action leads to a weakening relationship with God. Examples might include a failure to be honest, or crude behaviour.
What is venial sin?
Sins in which we have the opportunity to do something good, but refuse to act on it.
What is sins of omission?
A complete break in one’s relationship with God (For
example, murder) We don’t commit _____ sins by accident.
What is a mortal sin?
Sins that we commit by doing something we shouldn’t do. It’s the type of sin in which we are most familiar.

Exists within any structure in society that oppresses human beings, violates human dignity, stifles freedom and/or imposes inequity
What is a Social Sin?
Seeking out vulnerable people and helping them. It means taking steps to advocate for the vulnerable and changing social structures to prevent injustice
