M-Militarism- this is when a country builds up their military and uses it as their most powerful force.
A-Alliances- this is when countries have mutually beneficial relationships between one another.
I-Imperialism- this is when you take another country’s land with force or diplomatically.
N-Nationalism- this is having extreme pride in one’s country.
What is the Wilson's 14 points
These were President Woodrow Wilson’s 14 ideas on how to peacefully establish boundaries so that another world war would never happen again.
They included how to divide land, freedom of the seas, but did not mention blaming anyone or paying for reparations.

Zimmerman Telegram- this was when Germany sent Mexico a coded message. The message asked Mexico to attack the US and in response they would get land back. This message was intercepted by the British and the US was notified.
