This means it can look at predators and prey without having to move any other part of its body. This is incredibly important as it is famous for blending in.

This six-legged animal has over 30, 000 "eyes" that it uses to see in nearly 360 degrees. Their eyes look so big that they look like a helmet, and help ensure the animal can fly every direction, even backwards.

This is the most important animal in Western movies and was important for Barbie. Despite the fact that the characters of Westerns are named after something else, this animal always makes an appearance.

This slimy animal uses its eyes to help it eat, and not just to look for food. It pulls its eyes towards its mouth, using them to help hold, crush, or swallow food. The four-legged critter's eyes help it to search for prey, as well as watch for predators. This animal has eyes as a tadpole, and as an adult. It is not great at jumping, and can leave the water.

Though we usually say this animal is blind, it can actually see pretty well. In fact, they may have double to four times the rods and cones in their eyes in some species, and some can even see colours we can't. This animal uses its vision to help fly and search for food.

This animal is famous for the noise it makes. When you hear an eagle in movies, it is actually the sound this bird makes. Its name is all about the colour of part of its body.

This four-legged animal has two long sets of eyelashes to protect its eyes from blowing sand. It can also close its nostrils to help. It can store up to 80 pounds of fat, as a back-up for energy.

This animal has really good hearing. It can actually talk to others from up to 15 kilometres away, making long distance calls simple. It uses these sounds to keep up to date and to make plans for hunting. This animal is one of the best hunters on the planet.

This animal does NOT hibernate. It does sleep a lot during the winter though, in a state called torpor. This animal gets a special name if they have golden fur on their necks/backs, but otherwise people usually just use the main colour of their fur as part of their name.

This tentacled critter as the largest eyes of any animal. The eyes are unusually 27-30cm in diameter, which is almost one and half times the size of a soccer ball. This animal usually has slightly larger eyes than even its cousin who is called "giant."

This animal's name tells you exactly what watery habitat it lives in. It is the heaviest reptile around, with confirmed weights of up to 2000kg (4400lbs)! It has been measured up to 6.3m (20.7ft) long. This animal can be found in India, South East Asia, and Australia.

This animal does not stay in enclosures. It is known just from the sound it makes, but also its attitude. They have babies near water, and get a nickname that talks about TWO other animals.

This slimy animal can actually move its eyes in or out of its head, and around its body and shell. Its eyes help to detect predators from above, and search for food. It is particularly good at seeing when things are moving. Its eyes are on the end of tentacles, called eyestalks.

This means the cold-blooded critter can accurately measure when and where it will be warmest. It is the largest living member of this type of animal.
