What is the Hugh Shields Award?
Intended to recognize superior chapter performance and operations. It is named for Hugh Shields, Beta Alpha 1926, executive vice president 1930-1965. The award was instituted by the Arch Chapter in 1965 and implemented at the 1966 division conferences.

Karnea is Delta Tau Delta's biennial international convention. Karnea means "Festival of Apollo." The Karnea is the legislative body of the Fraternity where an assembly of delegates of all the chapters gather to discuss the business of the Fraternity.
