Describe the difference between a digitized (digital) signal and non-digitized (analog) signal.
A digitized signal changes instantaneously. It takes an analog signal, converts it into a pattern of 1's and 0's called BINARY CODE. That code can then be transferred to another digital device and decoded into a picture, message, or sound.
Non-digitized signals are continuous signals that do NOT ever become 1's and 0's. (examples: echolocation, analog clock with minute and second hands, a dog barking, etc.)
Why are digital signals more reliable than analog signals?
-Analog signals aren't always exact (for example, analog clocks are set manually, not connected to the satellite, so they may not be the exact time)
-Analog signals can be less clear (for example, when you listen to a radio station you could get static interference, whereas if you if you listened to a CD or something streamed from a digital device, you wouldn't run into that problem)
