The clean air act is a policy created in 1970 and revised in 1977 and 1990 that sets standards for air quality.  Controlled by the Environmental protection Agency, the CAA is important because it promotes clean air, which in tune promotes health.

Prevention: 

  • Some parks and forests are permanently closed to allow the area the thrive 
  • Some parks have set limits to the amount of people allowed on at one time. Others have volunteer programs that help with cleanup and maintaining the land.
