This is defined as a spectrum of behaviors including acts of intentional violence, threats, and conduct that generates reasonable concern for future violence.
What is Workplace Violence?
Any verbal or written statement of intent to assault, inflict pain, injury, damage, death, or other hostile action against another individual, business, or property.
What is a Threat?
Deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property, such as puncturing tires on a manager's car in the parking lot.
What is Vandalism?
These three groups can receive workplace violence reports: any manager or supervisor, this team abbreviated S&LP, and this team abbreviated PxT.

These five main categories are used to classify workplace violence incidents.
What are Assault, Threats, Concerning Behavior, Suicidality, and Weapons?
This involves unwanted, aggressive, and intentional behavior with a real or perceived power imbalance in which the victim feels helpless to respond.
What is Bullying?
Intentionally starting a fire or using an incendiary device to damage property or harm a person.
What is Arson?
During an argument, threatening to "meet them in the parking lot" or "take it outside" is an example of this type of workplace violence.
What is a Threat?
These types of incidents, including insensitive comments, inappropriate jokes, and unwanted touching, are NOT considered workplace violence.
What are harassment and sexual harassment?
This is a course of conduct involving repeated visual or physical proximity, nonconsensual communication, or threats that would cause a reasonable person to fear for their safety.
What is Stalking?
The unauthorized writing or drawing on any surface within the workplace of words or images which are violent or could provoke a violent response.
What is Provocative Graffiti?
Two blue badge employees repeatedly rearranging a temporary employee's workspace and calling them names is an example of this behavior.
What is Bullying?
This is the intentional or reckless act of inflicting or trying to inflict physical harm or forceful physical contact upon an individual.
What is Physical Assault?
Any form of communication in which a person threatens damage to people or property with the use of an explosive, improvised explosive, or incendiary device.
What is a Bomb Threat?
An individual's actions, statements, or behavior which indicate they may pose a potential risk to life safety without reaching the level of a threat.
What is Concerning Behavior?
This is the name for the Slack channel that serves as the central hub for collaboration between Site Operations/PXT and the Cluster Loss Prevention team.
What is AMER_WA_BFI1_SLP (or LP Support Requests)?
This term describes someone with a weapon who is attempting to or currently actively engaging in inflicting harm or endangering people in the general proximity.
What is an Armed Aggressor?
This is an intentional act, gesture, or communication with the intent to frighten, compel, or deter someone, such as giving someone an "intimidating look" to prevent them from reporting a safety violation.
What is Intimidation?
Deliberate destruction, obstruction, or damaging of something to cause a disruption that is intended to lead to a violent act, such as cutting brake lines to cause a crash.
