What does it mean to be subject for the Lord's sake?
As believers, we're ambassadors of Jesus Christ. His hands and feet, His representatives. To be subject for the Lord's sake then, is to submit to the authorities in our lives primarily for the sake of our witness to them, and their perception of what Jesus is like.
Peter says, "But even if you should suffer for righteousness sake, you will be blessed." (1 Peter 3:14)
