Participation grade suffers!
Additionally, the Prof. reserves the right to take phones and hold them at the front of the room for the duration of class.

How many unexcused absences is each student allowed before their grade diminishes?
Two weeks’ worth.
This can be four full absences, or eight half absences, or whatever combination of absence there is, including lateness or leaving early. Let’s be real: attendance means ATTENDANCE. But I'm happy to work with you if you have issues! Keep communication open!

Can you use AI text-generators (ChatGPT, Bard, Claude, etc.) to produce writing that you can turn in?
Aw hell nah.
You might use such text generators to “talk” with or brainstorm ideas. But if you turn in “writing” produced by any ONE or any THING other than yourself, it’s cheating.
