Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

A new person simply approaches a more experienced member who seems compatible and ask that person for help.

How do I get a sponsor?

The only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking.

We will not regret the past or wish to shut the door on it.

Admitted to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

We are always free to select a sponsor with whom we feel comfortable, even if it is someone different then who we have now and will be more helpful in my recovery.

Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our Traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personalities.
