In order to plan an event, these people must be chosen. Typically 2–3 are selected depending on the program, and usually include at least one board member.

Responsibilities for these people can include working with staff to brainstorm ideas, venues, and themes; approving copy and artwork; recruit; assisting with last-minute decisions; and making a speech at the event.

Before the new programming year begins, staff create THIS by reviewing all pillars and committees, deciding which events need to happen and how many, and scheduling them throughout the year.

These two events are a staple for NEXTGen Detroit.

They are held a few times a year and are designed to be accessible, low-barrier opportunities for young adults to connect with the community.
