Is walking or biking better for the environment?

Both walking and biking are excellent for the environment they produce zero greenhouse gas emissions, reducing air pollution and reliance on fossil fuels but when a bike is being made they release carbon in the air . This makes walking better because the bike has to be made in a factory.

What are renewable energy sources give examples and explain why?

Some types of renewable energy are wind power , solar power, Hydro power, and nuclear energy and  bio fuels. These are all renewable energy because they are all natural materials and energy sources that replenish themselves naturally over a short time.

Why does eating meat create more emissions?  (Explain which meats cause the most, HOW and WHY?)

Eating meat creates more emissions because it takes a lot of extensive grasslands, which often is created by cutting down trees releasing carbon dioxide . Also cows and sheep emit methane as they digest grass and plants.

How does making clothes, electronics, plastics and other products create carbon emissions?  (Give several examples and explain how.)

When making goods or items they burning fossil fuels like coal, oil, or gas for energy in factories which when fossil fuels burn they release carbon in the air. They also transport materials globally causing carbon to release form the vehicle/Boat/Plane. They also utilizing raw materials like petroleum for plastics and synthetics.

How can someone reduce their carbon footprint in a day to day scenario. (Multiple answer may be required.)

Someone can reduce their carbon footprint by walking or riding a bike instead of taking a vehicle. They can also limit their energy usage at home. (Like leaving lights off, quick showers, less time on electronics.)

How do you cars and busses create carbon emissions?

Burning fossil fuels like gasoline or diesel release carbon emissions out of the exhaust which is a greenhouse gas.

Where does your electricity come from?  Overall, where does energy come from in America, and how do these processes cause carbon emissions?

People's energy comes from coal in Brookville. But most energy comes from steam turbines. These use fossil fuels like coal to heat up the water. This process causes carbon emission because when the fossil fuels burn to make the steam, the combustion of the fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide.

Which foods have smaller carbon emissions?

Vegetables like apples, avocados and potatoes have a smaller footprint because they require significantly fewer natural resources—land, water, and energy—to produce. Compared to animal based foods. Meat production often requires a lot of rich grasslands, which is often created by cutting down trees, releasing carbon dioxide stored in forests.

How can someone reduce their carbon footprint when getting rid of waste. And how does it reduces the carbon emissions.

Someone can recycle their waste that would normally be thrown in a landfill. This reduces carbon footprint because it reduces the need for material extraction and the manufacturing processes.
