What did the Plessy vs Ferguson case mean in terms of the US Constitution and how did the ruling affect the the problem of segregation?
It stated that being "separate but equal" meant segregation is not against the constitution as long as white and colored facilities were of equal standard. This affected segregation by enhancing it as the notion that making different races use different facilities was legal and people were allowed to openly be racist.
