Zelda. She was important ecause she was a writer too and inspired Fitzgerald often, some speculate he may have stolen some of her ideas and writings.

How did flappers get their name?

Flapper comes from "fledging", a baby bird learning to fly", when this term resurfaced it became flapper, to describe a "high-spirited teenage girl" 

Additionally an actor came to America and when he described it, it became the definition we know today.
