How is David a type of Christ? Or how does he lead us to Christ?
1. David was a literal shepherd before being called to the throne, pointing to Jesus as the "Good Shepherd" who lays down His life for His sheep.
2. David defeated Goliath and conquered the enemies of Israel, foreshadowing Jesus’ ultimate spiritual victory over sin, death, and Satan
3. God made a covenant with David, promising that his kingdom and throne would be established forever.
Jesus, as the direct genealogical descendant, is the ultimate fulfillment of this promise, establishing an eternal, spiritual kingdom.

1.Both were an intercessor and mediator
2. Both took upon them sins (Abigails was only her husbands)
Jesus does not excuse our sins, but he takes the penalty upon himself. He went to the cross and took the judgment we deserved, allowing us to go free in peace
