The story about the person who was sent to bring back buckets of water (ksantih)

A man was told to bring back buckets of water without being touched. Some boys were playing and kept touching him, every time he went back to get fresh water. The villagers asked the man why he didn't say anything to them. He responded by saying that the boys playing is their dharma and that bringing the water was his dharma. They both were doing their dharma, so there was no question of forgiveness.

A group of middle school boys on a football team and their coach went out on a picnic in a mountain cave. There was a downpour of rain, which blocked the entrance of the cave and they couldn't get out. The Buddhist coach told the children that they don't know when they will get saved, so to do everything they could to survive. They minimized their energy use by:

- breathing slowly

- not moving

- sitting in prayer and meditation

1: Is there life after delivery?

2: I don't know. Maybe we see more light, eat with our mouths, and have more senses.

1: Nonsense. Walking? Eating with our mouths? We get everything from our umbilical cord. Logically, there is no life after birth.

2: Maybe we don't need the cord!

1: Nobody ever came back from there, so there is no evidence!

2: We'll see our mom.
