People who moved from job to job, sometimes across the country.  They would often pick fruit or vegetables on farms, and the job was long and difficult.  Before the Great Depression, migrant workers were mostly Mexican or Filipino.  During and after the Great Depression, many white farmers who lost their farms because of the Dust Bowl became migrant workers.
