Duty covered by the Fine Arts Team, Resource Teachers, and Interventionists which begins at 7:20 a.m.

What is morning duty?

30 min duty free time for teachers. Remember to pass out cards before arriving, enter/exit through the double doors by the Orchestra room, and be on time. 

What is lunch?

Birdwood (back) opens at 7:20 a.m. and Rice (front) open at 7:00 a.m.

What are the front and back doors?

Duty scheduled for teachers to work at least once a week. Don't forget your walkie talkie!

What is afternoon duty?

Marked by the teacher in Gradespeed for students who enter class with a pass after the 7:40 a.m. bell rings. 

What are tardies?

Students attend P.E. and either band, choir, or orchestra twice a week and art once per week. A schedule is already completed and will be given. 

What is ancillary?

Remember to do this in the morning when you arrive and afternoon before you leave. The sheet is located on the shelf in front of Mrs. Zatzkin's office.

What is signing in/out?

As students _____________ they report to 1 of 3 places: the cafeteria for breakfast, the multipurpose room/MPR (K and 3rd), or they sit in the hallway outside their classroom door (1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th). 

What is arrive?

Students should walk down the ___________ in a quiet, straight line.

Whole class breaks are scheduled and should be quick and quiet. Students may bring a book, flashcards, etc. They may also take individual breaks here as necessary.

Students who dismiss at 2:40 p.m. and then are escorted out the front to their bus.

Who are bus riders?

Done daily at 7:40 a.m. immediately after the tardy bell rings.

30 minutes daily that students have and when teachers actively monitor within their zones. 1st-5th use the front playground and Kinder & Pals use the side playground. Tutoring permission during this time will be obtained.

7:30 a.m. (1st), 7:35 a.m. (2nd), 7:40 a.m. (tardy), 9:40 a.m. (attendance), 2:40 p.m. (bus riders/daycare dismissal), and 2:50 p.m. (car riders/walkers/afterschool activities dismissal)

 

What is the bell schedule?

Students dismissed to the hall in front of the library when the 2:40 bell rings. They are then taken out the back (Birdwood) to meet their vans.

Who are daycare riders?

Taken daily at 9:40 a.m. in Gradespeed when the reminder bell rings. 

What is attendance?

Students go here once a week for 30 minutes during their ELA block to check something out. 

What is the library?

Signal at 2:50 for K, 1st, 5th, and older siblings to be taken to the cafeteria for parent pickup on Birdwood (back), 2nd-4th to be taken to the front awning on Rice, and afterschoolers to report to their assigned locations.
