What is Check and Sign
A class dedicated to an “integrated” approach to instruction, including mindfulness, social skills, leadership, and music.
This is a special day at Radcliffe, where students are able to dress down or dress as a specific theme, which celebrates the camaraderie and togetherness of RCS.
What are Spirit Days
Some of our students think this day is “Wacky” because this is the day we come together as a whole school for an “opening activity”, and only have five classes due to a 12:45 dismissal.
What is Wednesday schedule
This is Radcliffe’s biggest fundraiser where all money earned goes to the Margaret Brogan Scholarship fund
What is Run for Radcliffe
This is a component of the communication book that each student strives to achieve every day.
What is the student goal?
Two different forms used by the school quarterly to report on student progress.
What are INTERIMS and PROGRESS REPORTS?
This is a day set aside, usually the third Friday of the month, where students can arrive to school out of their normal uniform.
What is Dress Down Day
When the term changes, so does this rotation.
What is Art/Gym rotation
Teacher’s put items that they need for their classroom or for instruction on this board that is located in the lobby
What is the Giving Board
It is outlined in the back of the communication book to help students dress appropriately every day.
What is the DRESS CODE?
Assessments given every other year for each student at Radcliffe to help chart progress and inform instruction.
What is the Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT)?
This is a special enrichment that requires a bit more commitment than your normal enrichment classes. Currently, we have three: Soccer, Basketball, and Men’s Lacrosse
What are Athletics
Alternative school times based on Kent County’s weather policies
What are Fog Delays/Snow Days
This is new this year allowing you to be notified of delays, closings, the newsletter etc which can all be accessed by your phone
What is the RCS App
Other than the daily goal, these are examples of things written in the communication book each day by the student.

This is something completed independently in a quiet, calm spot at home.

This is something you and your child signed up for where they can experience topics of their interest

Running late to pick up your child? That’s okay! RCS has this available to parents who sign up.
