500

What is the proper protocol if a candidate is not available to interview at the time that was requested?

Explain them that interviews are not always able to be rescheduled due to the manager's availability and double check that they are 100% unavailable for the time requested.

If so, get their full availability for the remainder of the week and relay that information with the client partner.

Tell them to keep those times available and make sure there are no other roadblocks, questions, or concerns.

500

Situation: Your candidate calls you to reschedule their interview that they already confirmed because they have an appointment.

Walk us through how to handle this.

Why do they need to reschedule?

See if there is a solution. Are they able to reschedule their appointment?

If not, tell them that interviews are not typically able to be rescheduled, but we can reach out to the manager and see if there are alternative times.

500

Your candidate says they don't have time or don't need to interview prep. How do you proceed?

Options:

Explain to the candidate that you have been working with Client A for a while and have insight into the types of questions and key details they are looking for in a candidate.

Tell the candidate you want them to be successful and it shouldn't take too much time.

Make up a statistic: Out of the candidates that listen to the interview prep details we have a 50% higher success rate.

If there are other hesitations, there might be a deeper issue.

PLEASE SHARE ANY OTHER IDEAS YOU HAVE!

500

Your candidate calls you on their way to the interview to let you know that their car broke down.

What should you do?

Ask them if they are okay. Diagnose the problem.

Ask them if they have another option for transportation (Family, Public Tranist, Uber)

Tell them that with this late of notice the interview will most likely not be able to be rescheduled.

If they still can't go, inform the client partner right away and get their availability if you are confident that they are reliable!

500

Situation: Your candidate goes to the interview but receives another offer from a different company and let's you know.

What do you do?

Try to gauge the candidate's priorities by asking open ended questions. We can always reach out to the manager to move the process along quicker once we have more information.

Ask how the two opportunities compare?

Is pay the deciding factor?

Is location the deciding factor?

If you were to receive an offer for both positions which one would you accept?

How soon do you have to give an answer to the other company?
