What is your sensory memory?
I am 18" long, but thinner than an index finger. I am directly under the brain stem.
What is the spinal cord?
My brain operates as 2 brains. My hemispheres do not communicate.
What is a missing corpus callosum?
We are the 3 parts of the brain stem.
What are the midbrain, the pons, and the medulla oblongata?
You can find us on the end of a neuron. Our job is to receive messages and send them to the cell body.
What are dendrites?
My name is Latin for "brain". I take up 80% of the brain's mass.
What is the cerebrum?
I am unable to walk in a straight line. I can't take even steady steps or pick up a pencil smoothly.
What is a damaged cerebellum?
I am your emotional memory? I'm full of mirror neurons and am very perceptive to danger.
What is the amygdala?
We may not send messages, but we take up 90% of the cells in your brain. We have many jobs including removing dead neurons and cleaning up leaky neurotransmitters.
What are glial cells?
I consist of 2 walnut sized lobes connected by a bridge. I am located deep in the brain filter all sensory information except for smell.
What is the thalamus?
I am constantly asking "when am I ever going to need this?" I don't feel any need to learn this topic.
What is having no sense or meaning to learning?
I am your procedural memory. My primary job is balance, posture, and coordination.
What is the cerebellum?
We are the chemical messages sent into the synaptic gaps to bring messages to other neurons. We can have excitatory or calming effects.
What are neurotransmitters?
You almost can't see me, but I'm there! I am where chemical emissions of neurotransmitters go.
What is a synaptic gap?
I am watching a baseball game and I'm irate about the umpire's terrible call!
What is mirror neurons firing?
I connect your brain to your spinal cord. I am the oldest part of the brain and help you survive.
