In order to become a Christian you must be baptized in water. The visible sign is water but it is not just pure water, when you get baptized at that moment in time you are present with god, so the water is the invisible symbol.
Why is it bad that the church does not learn about Grace or Conversion
It will not teach Christians to put others before themselves, and to treat others the way you want to be treated

The main thing they need to do is study our culture, and comprehend the Word of God in specific context.
