Cars, trucks, bikes.
Should you cross a street if there is no crosswalk there?
No! It is not safe. Find a crosswalk close by to safely cross the street.
Demonstrate (act out) how to ask a friend to play with you.
Something like: "Would you like to play ____ with me?" or "Do you want to play ____?"

When you are waiting to cross the street what do you look at?
The crossing sign.
Who is a person in the community that can help you cross the street safely?
Crossing guard or police officer
A police officer asks you to STOP even though the sign says GO. What do you do? (Go or Stop)
Stop until the police officer tells you it is safe to go.
I ask a friend to play Uno with me, but he wants to play Sorry. What can I do?
Switch to Sorry or Play Uno with another friend. (Be Flexible!)
What does "social" mean?
Working / playing / talking with other people

Who is a safe person to ask for directions if you are lost in the community?
Crossing guard, police officer, or cashier in a store.
What should you do if a car stopped in the middle of the crosswalk?
Cross the street somewhere safer - do not walk closely near the car.
I want to play Connect Four, but two other kids are already playing. What can I do?
Ask them to take a turn after they finish or choose a different game (or another other reasonable answer).
Steven prefers to play soccer instead of basketball. What does "prefer" mean?
To like one activity more than the other.

NO! Wait for the “WALK” sign.
A loud noise makes you very nervous before you cross the street. What could you do?
- Turn around
- Cross a different street
- Take an alternate route
- Ask an adult for help

A city. We have five boroughs in New York City (Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, Manhattan, The Bronx).

Continue to cross the street, but walk faster.
