What is soundtrack/score?
Shows a person's body from their waist up
What is a medium shot?
When an object or character is enlarged, can also be used to clarify a detail
What is zoom or zooming in?
When senior members of the crew figure out where the movie is going to be filmed
What is location scouting?
The time of day when everything looks golden
What is magic or golden hour?
Move the film along from one part to the next
What are transitions?
A shot that includes at least one character
What is a group shot?
When all of the changes to the footage are made and finalized
What is picture lock?
The term for when a movie is allowed to begin production
What is "greenlit/green light"?
When everything that is within frame means something
What is composition?
One helps enhance or improve the footage and the other adds things into the footage
What is the difference between visual effects and special effects?
A shot that shows someone talking with the person they're talking to partially visible
What is an over-the-shoulder shot?
When the camera moves forwards or backwards
What is a dolly shot?
The four elements that must be included in a screenplay
What are narrative, character, dialogue, and technical information?
The length and height of a frame
What is aspect ratio?
The process of re-recording dialogue to improve the quality of the audio
What is ADR?
A shot that shows the entire scene from beginning to end
What is a master shot?
The camera must stay on one side of the imaginary line created between the camera's perspective and the actors
What is the 180-degree rule?
