What are the warm colors?
Blue, green, and violet.
What are the cool colors.
The result of closed lines, these are two-dimensional, flat, and only have height and width. Examples may be geometric or organic.
What are shapes?
These types of shapes are typically found in nature and have a flowing or curvy appearance.
What are organic shapes?
Another name for color.
What is hue?
The art and science of using color.
What is Color Theory?
Colors found directly across from each other on the color wheel.
Examples include blue and orange, yellow and violet, red and green
What are complementary colors?
This element describes a 3-dimensional shape. It has depth as well as height and width. Cylinders, spheres and cubes are common examples.
What is form?
This element of art can be manipulated based on how an artist places lines, shapes, forms, and color. May be positive or negative.
What is space?
Black, white, beige and tan hues.

What are neutral colors?
Created by combining a primary color with a secondary color. Examples include red orange and blue green.
What is tertiary color?
A color scheme created by using tints and shades of a single color.
What is monochromatic?
This refers to the arrangement of elements or objects within an artwork.

The space between the objects in a drawing or painting.
What is negative space?
Created by adding white to a color.
What is a tint?
Created by adding black to a color.
