The part of the story where the conflict winds down.
What is the Falling Action?
A character that changes over the course of the story.
What is a Dynamic Character?
A genre of writing that tells fake, made-up, stories, that often include: fantastical monsters, superheroes, and many more unrealistic characters and themes.
What is Fiction?

First you have to fold the paper in half, and than you cut along the fold with a pair of scissors.
A big moment when the reader is made aware of a secret, or other information that they did not have previously, and stops to ask, "how might this change things?"
The part of the story that introduces the characters and setting.
What is the exposition?
A character that is complex and has many character traits(layers).
What is a Round Character?
Reorganizing the story in your own words that focuses on just the most important ideas and details.
What is a Summary?
While I am positive that your car is very fast, I know that my car is faster than yours.
Make no change
When an older, wiser character offers advice to the protagonist and the reader stops and asks, "what is the lesson?" This is usually the theme.
What is Words of the Wiser?
The turning point of the story. The part of the story where the conflict has reached it's highest point.
What is the Climax?
A simple character that has only a single character trait.
What is a Flat Character?
The lesson/message of the story. What the author wants the reader to take away from the book.

Every Friday the mailman, Samuel brings my dog a treat when he delivers the mail.
Add a comma after Samuel.
When a character acts completely opposite of what is expected and the reader stops and asks, "why is the character doing that?"
What is Contrasts and Contradictions?
The part of the story where the problem intensifies.
What is the rising action?
A character that does not change over the course of the story.
What is a Static Character?
To make a prediction about the text based on your prior knowledge and that you have read in the text.
