What is Tardy?
This document has all of Normal Park's expectations for students and parents. It is a reliable resource to check when you have a question about our school.
What is the Student Handbook?
As we are getting off the bus, we are expected to tell the bus driver this sincere statement.
What is thank you?
This color t-shirt should be worn on ALL learning expeditions, which take place on Thursdays.
What is royal blue?
This is assigned Mondays & Wednesdays from 3:00-4:00 as a consequence for incomplete homework or classwork assignments or as a behavior consequence and cannot be cancelled once scheduled.
What is Study Hall?
These require a written note from the parent/guardian explaining what they are.
What are all absences?
This is a sad event where a student must eat without peer interaction.
What is "silent lunch"?
No student is allowed to attend a Learning Expedition without this.
What is a signed permission form?
These can be worn, but not take the place of pants. They should not have any see-through portions which are above mid-thigh length and a shirt or dress that covers the bottom.
What are leggings?

What is the Monday Memo?
All absences, excused or unexcused, whether they have been made up or not, count towards this.
What is attendance eligibility for athletic participation?
Students should talk to a teacher and fill out one of these documents if they witness someone being harassed.
What is a student incident report?
Chaperones need to be reminded that these people are not allowed to tag along on Learning Expeditions.
Who are siblings?
These must always be worn and include a properly secured back.
What are shoes?
This particular assignment is expected to be completed every night. In fact, the tool needed to complete this assignment is expected to be carried with you throughout the school building.
What is reading?
When this happens, you will be sent to get a note and/or the offense will be logged.
What happens if I'm tardy to class.
Students must maintain a C average in all classes in order to participate in this event.
What an is extra curricular activity?
Students are encouraged to wear this on all Learning Expeditions.
What is the blue Normal Park t-shirt?
These clothes are WAY too casual and inappropriate to be acceptable at school. There is one day a year these can be worn: Read-A-Rama.
What are pajamas?
You should have a fully charged this every day in every class.
What is a chromebook.
Immediately upon returning to school after being absent, students have five days to do this.
What is make-up all work (assignments, tests, projects, etc.)?
This electronic device should be kept in your locker throughout the school day.
What is a cell phone?
While on a Learning Expedition, who do you represent?

Allowable skirts, shorts, and dresses must be this length on all sides of the leg.
What is mid-thigh?
Any unexcused late work will automatically receive this grade in powerschool but can still be completed late for a 5% deduction.
