Before Mr. Crighton, Mr. Scheck was setting up this last-day-of-school outside event that included such activities as a tug of war, water balloon toss, and tnickling.

Sometimes they flicker, but on this particular Friday in August they went out completely during what seemed like a tornado. The whole school was bused to Forest Manor as a result.

Sidener has had 7 of these in it's 12 years. Hopefully, Mrs Varno isn't going anywhere!

Some kids are enticed to touch it and it's been dropped (Quentin) a few times making it defective. At least it hasn't ended up like the first one Henney had. He knocked it over and it ended up shattered class and a big blob of wax on the floor.

Starting off as the Redbird. This changed to a redhawk about five years ago. By the way Redhawks only exist as Sidener's. Not a real bird!
