Southern Plains region of United States during a drought which caused massive dust storms in the 1930s. Crops failed. Many families migrated.
What is the Dust Bowl?
In this program, the federal government set prices and wages in order to keep both high. Supreme Court declared unconstitutional in 1935.
What is the NRA (National Recovery Act)?
Cornerstone of the Second New Deal; primarily “old age insurance,” but also provided other public assistance
