After leaving home to flee his brother's murderous rage, his mother never got to see her favorite son again.

Adam did this instead of obeying God.

When something looks so impossible we struggle to believe or trust in God we are like her.

This is what we receive from God as a gift. We cannot earn this because we are good. It is through this we can have faith in Jesus.

Even though he wasn't the promised son, God did bless this son of Abraham.

When we live a life believing God, even if the world thinks we are crazy for following Him we are like this man.

We can count on this no matter how good we are or how badly we mess up. God controls all things, He never says oops. No event, no natural disaster, no person, not even satan can stop God's plans. God will accomplish His plan because He alone has power to do it.

When an angel of the Lord found her in the wilderness after she had run away, the angel told her to name her son "God Hears"

She bought her husband for the night using these as the payment.

When we think the love and admiration from a person will bring us the joy our hearts long for instead of looking for that to be fulfilled by God we are like this person.
