This initiative aims to educate community residents and organizations on soil health and provide soil testing for heavy metals and clean soil to grow in. We offer XRF technology to do onsite soil testing and public workshops about soil sampling and managing healthy soils. We mix, store, and distribute the clean soil, provided by the Mayor's Office of Environmental Remediation, on site. The Wortman ave Community Garden is the main site for this program.

In 2014, ENYF helped to convene partner organizations throughout the Northeast for learning, advocacy, and exchanges. They work together to establish a platform to connect and celebrate youth food justice organizations working to demand a better and just food system for all.

The Coalition for Community Advancement: Progress for East New York and Cypress Hills was formed in late 2014, once the rezoning plan was proposed. UCC is a member of the steering committee; spearheading the fight to preserve East New York for East New Yorkers.
