Yes, staff can not question donor on reason for having service animal. Service animal must be at the donors side at all times during their donation process. Service animals include dogs and/or miniature horses.
If a machine displays an error during POST, what do you do?

While releasing a donor after completing their donation, you note that they appear to have a slight limp when putting weight on their left foot. When you inquire as to their limp, they disclose that 5 years ago they were treated for a bone infection in their foot and, occasionally when their feet are elevated for an extended period of time, their foot becomes sore. This has already been disclosed to another Phys Sub in their physical. How would you proceed?
Donor would be under a two year deferral after completed treatment. If the donor is no longer seeing their PCP and treatment is completed, donor is eligible to donate. No action needed.

2. Enter freezer and look at the probe, thermometer, and solution
3. Document in NexLynk and Check WARP for temperature, time, and date.

A lapsed donor from Newport News center comes in to donate. While examining their arms during the hands on portion of the physical, you notice the distinctive Smallpox vaccine scar on their left arm. When you inquire about it, they tell you they finished the vaccine well over a year ago. The donor donated twice a week regularly for the past 2 years up until 8 months ago. How do you proceed?
If the donor donated 21 days from the vaccine or 2 months if the scab does not separate, then the donor is permanently deferred and a PDI is initiated as an unreliable historian.
