During Group Game your eyes keep wondering. You are having trouble focusing on the game in front of you.

When the whole body (eyes, ears, mouth, hands, feet, bottom, and brain) is focused on the group showing that you are listening.

Your school is having an assembly in the Gym. While the Principle is talking you turn to your friend next to you and start talking. Expected or Unexpected?
Unexpected. We should have a quiet mouth and use our listening ears when the principle is talking.
Its almost time for recess. It starts raining so you have to have recess inside. You take a deep breath and remembered how much you like playing with kegos during inside recess. As you got over to play with them Jake, Dan and Lee are playing with the legos already. You dont want to share and start to get very upset.

Clean up your mess and wait for your friends to be done. When everyone's done, push in your chair and walk with your friends to recess.
You are playing Trouble with your friends. Usually you play with four pieces but one color only has three. Everyone agrees that everyone should play with three pieces this time. You get upset because thats not how you usually play.

The ability to read the hidden social rules in each context and the emotions and thoughts of others in order to regulate physical presence, eyes, language, emotions, reactions, etc.
Social Smarts
You're outside playing for recess and walk up to a group of your friends. They're talking about what they did over the weekend.
You can wait for a pause in the conversation to talk about what you did over the weekend. Listen and ask questions to show your interested.
Youre playing with some friends and taking turns. You have to be reminded to take your turn because your eyes keep wondering.
