This is keeping a group of people from entering the country.
It means not including anyone.

a person who comes to a country where they were not born in order to settle there.

This is the city that Immigrants came to from Asia. It's located on the west coast. It's in California. The Golden Gate Bridge is there now.
San Francisco
This is when there is fighting in a country and there are many tragedies and deaths. The military is usually involved.
War
This country is in Europe. A city in this country is Rome. People left to find more opportunity because of war, political problems and no work. This country is known for Pizza and Pasta.
Italy
This is favoring the interests of native-born people over foreign-born people.
Natives are treated much better than immigrants.

This is the city in Massachusetts that many Irish immigrants settled in. It is where baseball's Fenway Park is now.
Boston
This is mistreatment or punishment of a group of people because of their beliefs.
Persecution
This country is in Europe. Many people came to the United States from this country and settled in the Midwest.
They are known for beer making and sausages. Berlin is a city in this country.
Germany
This is the belief that one race is superior to another.
People were disliked because of how they looked and spoke.
Racism
People who are native to a land.
There is now a holiday named after this group of people.
Indigenous People
These buildings or apartments are where many immigrants lived. The conditions were not very good.
The buildings were very dingy and dirty.
Tenements
This is a person who has to leave his or her country to find safety. People usually leave because the conditions are very poor in their country.
Refugee
This country was ruled by Czars in the 1800's and early 1900's. Putin is the current president. Many Jewish people left due to religious persecution and war.
Russia
This is the process of fitting into a new culture or becoming like others in that culture.
Examples are changing the type of clothes you wear, or changing your religion, or changing your name to fit in.
