What do I wear?

Wear your Race Cats shirt

100

How will I know when to start?

When the starter says "runners to your mark! Set! Go!" start running, settle into a horse pace, follow the leader, think positively and smile at your friends and family.

100

What do I do when I've crossed the finish?

Walk thru the chute to the water/snacks.

200

What do I do with my bib?

Have your parents place your bib on the front of your shirt in clear view. This is the ONLY bib you'll be given for all of the races.

200

What do I do when the gun goes off?

No pushing at the start. Being he lead for the first few minutes is dangerous because you may be extending way too much energy to be running that fast. Pace yourself.

200

Where will my family be?

Designate a sport before the race to meet your parents. Then get a treat from our team and you may leave.

300

When should I arrive?

Arrive 30-40 minutes early, find your coach and team. Look for our team at the Lund Ortho tent.

300

What if I need to pass someone?

When passing, pass on the outside of the curve.

300

What if I don't leave right away?

Cheer on your teammates in their races.

400

What if I come really early?

Cheer on your teammates while you wait for your race.

400

How fast should I run at the end?

When you round the corner and see the finish arch, run cheetah pace all the way to the finish!

400

What if I want to run some of another race to cheer on a friend?

When cheering for others, stay off the course and out of the way of the runners.

500

Will I get a chance to warm up first?

Meet at the team spot to warm up with your team before your race starts.

500

Can I stop at the finish line?

When finishing, run a step or two beyond the finish line before you stop running.

500

Will we stretch together at the end?

We won't do team stretches after the races to make sure you stretch to avoid injury ad sore muscles.
